The Culprit Pro Frog and the original CopperHead hook are a deadly combination. The Pro Frog's wider beam allows you to fish it slower while the Bleeding Bait-CopperHead draws strikes directly to the hook. The bend on the hook front allows it to penetrate the plastic quicker also acts as a skid plate for hopping over grass.

RipTide Realistic Shrimp To rig "Stoopid" style, clip a HitchHiker® to the CircleWide® hook and twist into the Real Shrimp. To fish, cast with a 6.6 or 7' light action rod, spooled with braided line. Use a slow twitch-retrieve combination. Get a strike? Don't set the hook! The circle hook will set itself. Makes catch and release very easy. The Stoopid Rig is best used early in the season before the grass gets tall on the flats. (Before March) Switch to a weedless presentation after the turtle grass gets too thick.

The Culprit Stinger is awesome for both Largemouth and Smallies too. The Daiichi Bleeding Bait, Catch & Release Wacky Hook makes releasing these voracious feeders easier. The hook is impaled behind an ordinary o-ring which makes the lures last even longer. Tip: DON'T set the hook! The hook will set itself.

Flipping Problem Solved Bass tend to clamp down on the lure AND the large worm weight used to plow through the grass. The result is a short fight to the water's surface and then the Bass lets go of the weight. You can often see teeth marks on the sinker after losing the fish. Veteran Flipping Pros are switching back to the old Tru-Turn Brute® Worm hook. The cam-action rotates towards pressure for solid hook-ups. Combine that trick with the slim profile of the Culprit Flippin Craw and you'll land more fish.

THE STOOPID RIG "Stoopid" fishing is a fairly new technique that is very effective on Reds when the grass is still low from the winter kill. (January- Early March) Just clip a Bleeding Bait®, Circle Wide hook onto a HitchHiker rigging device and just twist it into the RipTide - Realistic Crab. How to Fish A light to medium light spinning rig spooled with 10 lb PowerPro line is perfect. (Braided lines absorb the line twist.) Cast as far as possible and use a "twitch/retrieve, twitch retrieve" return. Holding the rod tip at a 10:00 position will keep it out of the grass. Got a strike? Don't set the hook; let the circle hook work for you.

This is the answer to those short striking fish after a cold front. Just 'skin hook' the Jerk Shad, Jerk Worm or saltwater Flats Chub with the XPoint, XGap Hook, slip on the Daiichi Bleeding Bait Treble and secure the top of the treble into the bait.

|
The drop shot'n technique is effective but made better with the Great Lakes Goby and the new StandOUT hook. The hook offers a lever action that entices more strikes. Use the Mojo® Pineapple Drop Shot weight on the bottom of the rig or even a standard Texas rig Tube on the bottom for a double presentation. Tip: use a slow drop instead of a lift as you work the rig. Don't set the hook, just a slow sweep of the rod does the trick.

Add the Back Breaker to any soft-plastic bait for a unique swimming action or to easily change tail colors on the lure. It also enables the tail to float higher when "dead-sticking" on the bottom.

Riptide Mullet rigged with the CopperHead hook. Note how the hook is on the side of the bait for maximum penetration speed. This also allows the bait to fall in a turn. This rig is particularly effective around Mangroves and on the flats. Tip: use a very slight twitch with a s-l-o-w retrieve.

Rigged with a CopperHead hook, the Stinger can be fished as a slow-falling bait or as a "sinking" jerk-bait. The CopperHead securely holds the lure, even in cover.
